Set Punch Points from Selection via Locators

Sets locators to the current selection, then assigns those locator positions as punch-in and punch-out points — streamlining overdub preparation from a marked region.

Select the audio region or time range in your track where you want to record over existing material. The macro will set up punch points at your selection boundaries and enable auto punch-in and punch-out so you can overdub safely.
