• Email: When you sign up or join the Premium waitlist.
• Usage information (analytics): Pages visited, clicks, time on site, device type, and approximate location (country / city). This is aggregated and used to improve the product.
• Chat queries: Used to improve KeyCmds answers and the underlying retrieval system.
• Premium payment information: Processed entirely by Stripe. KeyCmds never stores card or banking details.

• Email: Product updates, waitlist notifications, account-related communications, and support.
• Analytics: Understand how the platform is used so we can improve it.
• Chat queries: Improve the accuracy of the RAG system and the quality of responses.

4. Third-Party Services

KeyCmds relies on the following providers. Each is bound by their own privacy terms:

• Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC): Aggregated usage analytics.
• Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corp.): Session recordings and heatmaps used to detect UX issues.
• Anthropic (Claude API): Powers the AI chat experience.
• OpenAI (embeddings & verifier): Semantic search and verification layer.
• Cohere (rerank API): Re-ranking of retrieval results.
• AWS (Amazon Web Services): Infrastructure, database, and file storage.
• Stripe: Payment processing for Premium plans.
• Vercel: Application hosting.

5. What We Do Not Do

• We do NOT sell your data to third parties.
• We do NOT use your data for advertising outside of KeyCmds.
• We do NOT share your email with advertisers.
• We do NOT access your Cubase projects, sessions, or DAW.
• We do NOT store credit card information — Stripe handles that securely.

6. Your Rights

Regardless of where you live, you can exercise the following rights at any time by emailing contact@keycmds.com:

• Access the data we hold about you.
• Request full deletion of your account and associated data.
• Export your information.
• Unsubscribe from product emails.

European users (GDPR) and California residents (CCPA) have additional rights, including the right to opt-out of any sale of personal information — KeyCmds does not sell personal information.

7. Cookies and Trackers

The site uses a small set of cookies and storage entries:

• _ga, _gid (Google Analytics): Aggregated analytics. Loaded only after consent.
• _clck, _clsk (Microsoft Clarity): Session recordings and heatmaps. Loaded only after consent.
• keycmds_privacy_consent (localStorage): Internal entry used to remember your privacy banner choice.

8. Data Retention

• Email: Kept until the user requests deletion.
• Analytics: 14 months (Google Analytics 4 default).
• Chat queries: Anonymized after 90 days and disconnected from any identifiable account.
• Payment information: Governed by Stripe's retention policy.

9. Minors

KeyCmds is not directed at children under 16 years of age. If you believe a minor has provided personal data through the platform, contact us at contact@keycmds.com and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Significant changes will be communicated by email to registered users, and the “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision.
