Set Punch Points to Selection and Record
Sets punch-in and punch-out points to the current selection, then starts recording so only the selected region is overwritten.
Select the track or event you want to record into in the Project window. The macro will set the punch points to match your selection, enable auto punch in and out, then start recording from the beginning.

Download the zip, then in Cubase open the Macro Manager, import the macro XML, and assign a key command if you like.
