Mute Original Event then Create Sampler Track

Mutes the selected audio event to silence the original, then creates a Sampler Track from it — lets you audition the Sampler Track version without doubling the audio.

Select an audio track with an event you want to sample. The macro will mute that original event and create a new Sampler Track so you can work with a sampled version alongside it.
